On June 24, join our Analytical Development Chemist, Logan Cline, for a free webinar on the importance of ISO accreditation in the cannabis business. Awarded by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation, the ISO/IEC 17025 is the industry standard that demonstrates testing and calibration technical competence.
Because CBD and hemp remain largely unregulated, quality testing is critical to indicate hemp products are safe for public consumption. ISO certification inspires confidence among consumers and gives certified businesses a competitive edge by standing out as an exemplary lab.
Extract Labs’ analytical services include residual solvent and potency testing. A2LA’s strict guidelines confirmed what our scientists already knew about the rigorous requirements of quality testing. The official certification validated our processes.
Cline facilitated Extract Labs’ accreditation in May 2021. The University of Pikeville, Kentucky biology graduate won a scholarship by the Appalachian College Association to research industrial hemp and CBD before coming to Extract Labs in 2017. She will discuss the steps it took to achieve A2LA accreditation and how it’s benefited the brand.
The panel also includes two members of the A2LA, Renee Delauter and Anna Williams, along with John Rathmacher of Heartland Assays, an ISO accredited vitamin D and amino acid testing lab.
