CBN is a cannabinoid that is found in hemp or cannabis plants similar to that of THC and CBD. THC and CBD tend to be more readily available in younger and mature cannabis hemp plants, but as the plant ages the THC and CBD convert to CBN. Users report that CBN tends to feel more relaxing than when compared to CBD alone, this is why people like it for relaxing and getting to sleep when feeling a bit restless.
Some people believe that CBN oil may have a number of potential benefits, including promoting sleep, relaxation, calmness, and improved wellness. However, more research is needed to fully understand the potential benefits of CBN oil.

Yes! CBN is legal! The 2018 Farm Bill amended the American Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 and added a definition for hemp as an agricultural commodity. The 2018 Farm Bill defines raw hemp as an agricultural commodity, alongside corn and wheat. CBN oil is legal in the United States as long as it is derived from hemp and contains less than 0.3% THC. Hemp is expressly excluded from treatment as “marijuana” under the federal Controlled Substances Act (“CSA”). This means hemp is not, and cannot be considered, a controlled substance under federal law. U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) also does not maintain any authority over hemp.
The University of Utah Health Science Center reported that CBN users should be cautious with drug testing because CBN is more likely to result in a false positive.
Because CBN becomes comes from THC, their molecular structures are very similar. The drug tests screen from antibodies - enzymes that break down THC - which may be why CBN flunked the test.
Everyone's body chemistries are different and this may lead to different felt effects of CBN over time. We recommend taking the same dose for 1-2 weeks and observing the effects. If you do not feel the results you are looking for, increase the dose amount or frequency of dose to determine what works best for you.
