CBD Shatter Effects

Like other CBD waxes, shatter is best when dabbed, although it is possible to utilize it in other ways. When inhaled through the lungs, a potent dose of cannabinoids quickly enters the bloodstream. Because shatter is highly concentrated and vaping results in a quick onset, effects from shatter are stronger than other CBD methods. However, the effects don’t last as long. But how does CBD shatter make you feel?  All of our concentrates are re-infused with cannabis terpenes which give each flavor its unique character. Research is just starting to look at terpenes as the driver behind a strain's effects, not whether it's a Sativa or Indica like previously thought. There are hundreds of terpenes found in all plant life; they're responsible for aromas and flavors, too. But there are few prime terpenes abundant in cannabis. Here are the main five terps and their benefits:
  • Myrcene: a relaxing anti-inflammatory that is beneficial for pain relief
  • Limonene: Known for its leveling mental health benefits and as an anti-bacterial
  • Caryophyllene: The largest of all terpenes, it is also an anti-inflammatory that may be beneficial for digestive health, mental health, and pain relief.
  • Linalool: Commonly found in lavender, a mellowing terpene known to calm anxiety and can potentially slow cancer cell growth.
  • A-pinene: An energy-boosting terpene that may enhance memory and focus, as well as a gastroprotective and anti-inflammatory.
Each plant's dominant terpene will largely determine its effects.  We are consistently rotating our line of concentrates so our customers can try out new strains, but you can determine how it might make you feel based on the terpene content found on the box or online on the product page.

CBD Shatter vs Crumble

Shatter and crumble are both THC free concentrates, but shatter is made with isolate, and crumble is made with distillate. Distillate will contain trace amounts of minor cannabinoids, while shatter solely one compound e.g. CBD, CBG, or CBN.

How to Use Shatter

Shatter is typically vaped via a dab rig. You can add it to other cannabis products like flower or THC concentrates. You can also melt it in with some other cooking oil to add it to food or drinks. This method is particularly useful with older shatter that may be losing their freshness. We put together a more thorough CBD shatter guide, with step-by-step instructions. Shatter has already been decarbed, meaning heated to burn off the acidic tail of the molecules. While we don't suggest eating shatter by itself, it's safe for consumption as-is.
